MOCPS Announces Additional Intervention Grant Funding for Just Culture
Posted: 5/11/2008 Phase two of the Missouri Just Culture collaborative is in full swing. A total of 21 organizations have been awarded additional grant funding to further support their implementation of a Just Culture to improve patient safety. The additional grant funding is part of a grant provided by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.

Implementation of the NQF 30 Safety Practices – Free Webinars
Posted: 7/26/2007 The TMIT is offering a Webinar series on the National Quality Forum’s 30 safety practices. An audio of the July 13 Webinar, Culture and Leadership, is available on-line. The next Webinar session on Consent, End of Life and Disclosure is scheduled August 14 followed by sessions on Workforce, Communication, Medication Management, Healthcare Associated Infections and Condition/Site-Specific Topics.

Patient Safety: Achieving Success in Missouri Conference - A Success
Posted: 4/5/2007 In recognition of Missouri Patient Safety Awareness Month, the Missouri Center for Patient held Patient Safety: Achieving Success in Missouri March 28-29 in Columbia, Missouri. Over 150 national and state patient safety experts and health care professionals came together during this conference to hear about national, state and Missouri provider successes and challenges in patient safety. An overview of the conference highlights are available on the Center’s Web site.
